Weslo Director Mr. Bob Lott is the President of the Nature Foundation SA, a South Australian Premier charity. Bob requires the Weslo Group of Companies, at all levels to be mindful of all conservation issues, including the safe disposal of materials and the minimal use of natural resources. Our staff are encouraged to share transport to different venues and we also provide public transport information for our staff working at specific venues.
Weslo realises that our occupancy of commercial buildings has the potential to be responsible for significant energy consumption, high electricity and water use, if we do not manage wisely. Our efforts to date include the decision to install shared printers, use environmentally friendly printer paper, and promote the use of emails and electronic format information. We have implemented re-cycling processes for, paper, printer cartridges and other electronic equipment. We are keen to explore further the need to embed sustainability into our supply chain operations. Whilst the supply chain is relatively minor in the overall operations (with Human Resources a higher priority) looking at the delivery of stock and supply of equipment and services and the organisations delivering these products and services and their practices is open to review.
